Editorial and Corrections Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
SA Youth aims to publish practical and responsible information for South African job seekers, students and young people.
Our editorial policy explains how we research, publish and correct information.
Our Editorial Principles
We aim for content that is:
Accurate — We try to verify important details before publication.
Useful — Articles should help readers understand what an opportunity involves and what they need to do next.
Clear — We use straightforward language and avoid unnecessary jargon.
Responsible — We do not promise employment or selection.
Transparent — We aim to distinguish editorial information from advertising or commercial material.
Sources
Depending on the article, sources may include:
- Government departments
- Official company career websites
- SETA websites
- Universities
- Training providers
- Official application portals
- Publicly available official notices
Readers should use the official source as the final authority for an application.
Updating Articles
We may update articles when:
- A closing date changes
- An application link changes
- Requirements are updated
- An opportunity closes
- An official organisation publishes new information
- A factual error is identified
Where appropriate, we may update the publication date or include an update note.
Corrections
If we discover a material factual error, we will assess the information and make an appropriate correction.
Readers can report errors by emailing:
Please provide the article URL and explain the suspected error.
Sponsored Content
Sponsored or commercial content should be clearly identified where applicable.
Commercial relationships should not be presented as independent editorial recommendations.
